This booklet was prepared by the Naval Academy Parents Club of North Texas (NAPCNT), to help newly selected 4th Class Midshipman prepare for their first year at the "Yard", and help prepare parents who will be sharing those adventures from afar! This booklet isn't official, does not necessarily reflect the opinions of policies of the Academy or the United States Navy, and is not intended to supersede any official information or guidance you may receive. It is only intended to share valuable "unofficial" information gained by club members over the past 15 years..... and we are still learning!

We also welcome the new PLEBE PARENTS to our club! NAPCNT is a mutual support group that could be best described as a close family. We laugh, cry, and rejoice with each other as the fortunes of our sons and daughters rise and fall. Many of our members find these bonds of friendship so close and the social interaction so pleasurable that they continue as "alumni" -parents long after their Mids graduate! We often find out about things "through the grapevine" long before you would find them out and can speak as an organization to address problems that arise, including problems in Congress. We can help you find the best places to stay and eat during visits to Annapolis and most of 0, we help Mom and/or Dad cope!
